He published in books and journals in the areas of financial liberalization, deregulation, and financial markets; editor of a series of books on Managing NGOs in Developing Countries; management consultant; former Board member at Askari Bank Limited; formerly on the Policy Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan; Common wealth Scholar; Charles Wallace Trust Fellow; and HEC approved PhD supervisor.
